Low cost PSU for Eurorack Modular Synth systems
+12V -12V and +5V supply
 
Just add Two +12 V AC to DC Adapters to make it work - these are not supplied. The 16 pin cable is also not supplied. Only the mini PSU is supplied.
 
These AC/DC Adapters can be bought on E-bay for a few pounds - samples shown on photos above. Look for 12V 0.5A DC output or 12V 1A DC output. The centre pin is +ve on the 2.1 x 5.5 mm connector. 
 
When the 2 AC / DC adapters are plugged in, the 3 LEDs come on to show all the power rails are working.
 
This PSU produces +12 V and - 12 V by combining the outputs of the 2 separate external AC to DC Adapters. The maximum current supplied will be that of the AC / DC Adapters used.
 
So if you use two 12V, 0.5 Amp AC/DC Adapters, then a maximum of 0.5 Amp will be available to the modules on the +12V and -12V rails.
 
If you use two 12V, 1 Amp AC/DC Adapters, then a maximum of 1 Amp will be available to the modules on the +12V and -12V rails.
 
The +5V is supplied from the mini PSU. Currents upto 0.2 Amps can be supplied with the heat-sink supplied.
